![]() ![]() Slightly random behaviour, and sometimes does it without re-powering. Sometimes i can power up again and its fine. The Dualverb, Tremverb, Dynaverb, ModEchoVerb algorithms also do very interesting stuff that the Blue/Big Sky can't do.My Space seems to be taking presets to unintended tempos after powering on sometimes. ![]() For experimental stuff though, I guess you may enjoy the Space a lot more - especially when you get into using the expression and HotSwitch controls. If you plan on using it for stuff like single guitar or synth atmospheric work, then the Strymon could work really well. For example - the MangleVerb algo can definitely get harsh, and the distortion isn't exactly smooth sounding, but that's the point. This depends widely on the algorithm too, since the topologies of each are different. I wouldn't describe the Space as sounding harsh at all, but due to the very wide parameter ranges it's easier to get into sounds that ring a bit or have 'hard' sounding midrange. The lushness people go nutty for about the Strymon algorithms often creates a source that is too dense/diffused and needs quite a bit of EQ to make it fit when combining with other sources or in a dense band/vocals mix. The Space is more versatile and in my experience, fits into a mix with greater ease. List of recommended Youtube gear channels!
